It’s an amazing story. A client from Singapore contacted me about a livery he had imagined based on a 7-meter-long New York wall covered with graffiti he had bought and displayed in the heart of his apartment. Such a radical approach had inevitably inspired one of my design proposals for its new Gulfstream G5. After the acquisition of his new aircraft was postponed several times, he finally opted for a very classic and simple livery. Even though the project didn’t happen, I can’t wait until being able to adapt this very offbeat design onto another aircraft.
C’est une histoire étonnante. Un client résidant en Asie m’avait contacté pour me faire part de Ia livrée qu’il imaginait pour son jet privé. Il me confia qu’il avait fait démonter un mur new-yorkais de 7 mètres de long couvert de graffitis qu’il appréciait, au point de l’exporter en |’état vers Singapour pour l’exposer dans de son appartement., après une minutieuse reconstitution. J’ai trouvé cette démarche tellement radicale qu’elle inspira l’une de mes propositions de design pour son nouveau Gulfstream G5. L’achat de son jet ayant été reporté a plusieurs reprises, il opta finalement pour un appareil portant une décoration très classique et simple. Malgré tout, il reste de cette rencontre ce concept totalement décalé que je me réjouis d’adapter un jour, sur un autre avion.
